JANUARY 23RD - 2:00PM CST

Join us for a screening of Family Tree, created with Loyola University Chicago dance students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Filmed outdoors along Chicago’s beaches, voiceovers of familial stories create duets with soloed movement, creating a larger, cohesive story of each dancer’s journey.

A TALE OF TWO SCREENING + Q&A WITH FILMMAKERS

JANUARY 30TH - 6:00PM CST

From the minds of co-Directors Rena Butler and Talia Koylass, In/Motion is proud to screen A Tale of Two (2020). Featuring dancers from Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, this film explores what it’s like to grow up in Chicago - a city of many dualities. After the screening, join Rena Butler, Talia Koylass, Alysia Johnson (dancer) and Nathaniel Viets-VanLear (My Block My Hood My City) for a conversation about the film, the journey of creating it, and how we can use art to make a positive impact on our own communities.
